有没有对居住在两个省的优劣对比呢？

Ottawa地区跨越了两个省，是否住在魁省地区的人就算魁省居民，住在安省地区的就算安省居民？可是如果上班在一个省，家又在另一个省，这个怎么算？

因为两个省的税务，医疗，托儿，上学都不一样，有没有对居住在两个省的优劣对比呢？还有，两个省的房价一样吗？水电费一样吗，油价一样吗？一样嘛，这可是两个省呀，税和政策都不一样，怎么保证利润一样？不一样嘛，那大家肯定到便宜那边去了。

This is the question that people are always wondering and asked many times on this BBS.

Generally speaking, everything is cheaper in Quebec side except for the income tax, which is normally 6% higher than Ontario. For example, if you earn $100,000 a year, you pay $6,000 more tax in Quebec. But if you have at least one child, the total benefits you got will compensate the tax you paid.

Besides the money, there are lots of other factors you can compare: children education, children recreation programs, city services, neighborhood and quality of life. Personally I think Gatineau will score higher than Ottawa on those categories.
