IMPORTANT UPDATE
- DriveTest is very pleased to confirm that DriveTest and the Union have reached a tentative agreement that will end the strike that shut-down all DriveTest Centres, and most services, for over 3 months.
- The twelve DriveTest Centers that are currently open will remain open for limited services through the holiday season.
- All remaining Permanent DriveTest Centres across the province will re-open Monday January 4th at 1:00 p.m. However, DriveTest "Travel Points" in very small communities (mostly in Northern Ontario) will not open until Tuesday January 5th.
- All road test appointments currently booked for anytime after January 4th at 1:00 p.m. will be honored. Customers should come to the DriveTest Centre 30 minutes before their scheduled appointment time. Customers do not need to confirm anything in advance.
- If a customer has a road test appointment booked for anytime before January 4th at 1:00 p.m., their appointment will be cancelled automatically and the customer can rebook a new road test anytime in the future at no extra charge.
- The road test appointment booking system is now open for booking appointments. Do not book an appointment for anytime before 1:00 p.m. on Monday January 4th, even if the system shows that an appointment is available.
- DriveTest is asking customers to wait two or three weeks before making an appointment or coming to a DriveTest Centre, unless they need service for employment or training purposes. This will allow DriveTest to give priority to those customers as they work through the backlog created by the strike.
- As of January 5, 2010, public classified will be available on the system. All truck schools and buses will book through the pre-strike normal process on a first come and first serve basis.
