A three-storey building in Gatineau has been gutted by a major overnight blaze.
The structure on Eddy St. was fully involved by the time Gatineau fire crews were called to the area of 95 Eddy St. just after 6 p.m. on Monday. Flames and smoke were raging out of the back of the wood and brick structure, and quickly spread out of control.
The fire continued to burn for several hours before crews were finally able to get it under control.
No injuries were reported and there is no word yet on the cause. The building was destroyed, and numerous residents are left homeless.
Several businesses were also housed in the building.
