Asking: When to build deck

Can anybody tell me when I can build deck, a year after closing or a year after we get the lawn?

If the deck does not touch house, just say you don't fix oneside of deck on the fundation, You could build your deck anytime. Because at first few years, house would settle, the fundation would go down a little. Your house is moving. But I would wait at least a year. There could be very small(very small) chance , somthing needs to be done on fundation, if you build a deck, you block the access.
