老爹从国内来探亲，国内有驾照，在渥太华能拿G2吗？

国内拿了驾照超过4年了，也有开车经验，探亲签证能考本地驾照吗？

可以去考，考驾驶执照与签证没有关系。

不过，想早点靠Ｇ的话，须有国内驾驶执照翻译件。

不常住的话，就不要去考了。拿着国内的驾照可以开2-3个月的。

我想我们还是回去考个驾照的，因为至少要住一年呢。
就是50块钱的翻译费用有点舍不得。不过也没办法了。

可以拿，不过感觉没必要。。探亲签证就给半年。。一年需要再去申请的。。

To take the driving license here, one of the ID have to know Ontario address, which will be hard to proof it. However, once he can the G1 driving license, he can come to Canada 1 year later to continue G2 driving test, or full G. You just help him to renew the driving license once it expire.

The good thing about Canada driving license is that it can directly accept by many countries, including Asia, such as India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, without additional driving test
