Is that possible that chinese here found a company?

I believe there are at least hundreds of chinese who used to work in hi-tech area were laid off in the past 2 years, is that possible that these chinese set up their own company and do something.
You know some of them are s/w guys, some are h/w guys, system guys, even managers, so what're the difficulties for them to put together a company and make money? I think that's better than looking for a new job and it's more challenging.
Above is just my personal thought, maybe not mature, but i really think we chinese here can do something together.
