按照tax tip, if you are transferring an amount to a designated person, only transfer the amount this person can use. That way, you can carry forward as much as possible to use in a future year.
I think they are talking about how much the children can transfer to the parents.
But what I am concerning is how much the parents can claim for tax return. The tips tell us that only transfer the amount this person(parent) can use. That way, you(the student) can carry forward as much as possible to use in a future year.
I start to get the point. The amount, $5000 for the federal, $6184 for the provincial are the amounts the parents can claim. The exact amounts the students have maybe more than this. Is it right?
Thanks anyway.
