You'd better take a X-ray (panoramic radiograph) to show the positions of your teeth. Not very expensive, 40 bucks as I canI remember. With that you can see exactly how your "Zhi Chi" is growing. If you see that your ZCs are growing towards and reach the adjacent teeth, that'll be a problem cause they'll push and damage the roots of the adjacebt teeth. It's better to remove them. But if they're growing not towards the other teeth, don't worry about it too much even they'll expose to the outside, just take more care of the daily cleaning cause usually it's difficult to reach the ZCs.
Don't listen to your doctor too much, cause they make money for that.
If it's possible, they want to re-build all of your teeth!
