I disagree. Being honest is a fundamental character for a professional such as a dentist. Lacking this, how can you be sure he/she's not lying about recommending checkup/repair/insurance-claims?

If I were you, this would be the last time I visit them.

Personally, I've been with my current dentist for 10+ years and have never been treated like this. When they were running late for more than 10 minutes (twice in the the past 10 years), they apologized to me. I forgot my appointment once, I apologized to them both over phone and in person.
