It seems to be clear that there are only two choices: a stable majority conservative government or an unstable coalition government led by Iggy, who by the way is the choice of only 17% Canadians. Adding to that, BQ would certainly have the veto power in such a coalition.

It would be of the best interest of Canada and Canadians to grant the conservatives a majority this time and replace it with a liberal minority or even a majority next time if the conservatives abuse their mandate.

That's how democracy works under the Canadian political climate.

经济是个猛虎野兽，是否能降服它，是当权者的运气。一个政党领导人的个人能力是有限的，靠的是他的狗头军师，且他得按后台老板的执意办事。

我从来没有指望哪个政党执政我会受益。我投票，就是选个The lesser evil or lesser of a few evils 而已。

Well, we have to acknowledge the important role of the government in maintaining the well being of a country's economy. Just image what Prime Minister Dion would have done to Canada!

You are right in saying we are choosing the lesser evil. The question is who is the lesser evil, the conservatives who have so far managed the Canadian economy to be the very top one among the industrialized countries or the coalition led by Iggy granting the BQ the veto power.
