Costco BlueStar 30" Gas Range Available

Sealed burners don't perform as well as open burners. The flame direction is just not the same. You don't want the pot to heat from outside in, you want it evenly heated.

Love my expensive blue star I better do...I guess, hehe.

You may be right. My el cheapo side is locking horns with my perfection side. So far el cheapo has a slight edge.

I just received a Costco pamphlet and in it they have the Duro NXR gas ranges on sale from May 30 to June 12. They are knocking $400. off, from $1749.99 down to $1399.99.
Funny thing is they are out of stock now and Costco claims the in-stock date is May 30.
I wonder how this stove performs compared to the Bluestar. But then comparing the 30" models after the discount, it would be close to $1000 after tax. Both have convection oven but the Duro has sealed burners.
I like the look of the Bluestar but an el cheapo like me would probably go for the cheaper model.

How/Where did you read it is a sealed burner. I couldn't view any detail about this DURO range. I am interested in this cheaper one. but i've ordered BlueStar which is going to deliver this Saturday. I am still strugling if I need to cancel the BlueStar.

You can google Duro gas range and you will find that all their ranges have sealed burners. Plus I read it somewhere in the review.

The fighting result of picking one of the gas ranges is BlueStar even though Buro is about $1000 less.
The main reason is the fire from the burners of BlueStar is much even than sealed burners.
哎，老公太强大了，为了讨好他，只好答应了。如果我选便宜的，我想他会报复我而故意买别的不必要的东西把我省的给花掉， 虽然那一半的钱也是他赚的。何况 BLUESTAR 确实好。没办法，彼人有劣根性，爱买便宜东西，经常爱扔东西，这样不心疼。

Please do give us your impression and review of the new stove. Although I am inclined to buy the cheaper Duro range it is not final yet. Thanks!
