They want their retirement money to be protected and hence they always vote for PC.

Remember, money doesn't come from a tree. When the economy is good, outside investment will come in Canada. When the economy is bad, no good jobs can be protected.

NDP真象一句广告词说的,以为钱都是从树上生的,所以满嘴不着边际信口开河, 许下一揽子不现实的承诺. 如果NDP上台, 只要试图实现其许诺的30%,这个国家就要破产了. 对, 我说的是 “破产”, NDP的政治纲领远不是涨税所能实现的. 其必然的结果是疯狂涨税, 最终导致财政大幅萎缩. 如果NDP真象LAYTON说的那样,只是冻结企业减税,想在增税措施上显示一点温柔,那么国家就会破产得更快,赤字就会在半年之内象火箭一样冲上天.

这次大选, 本想封笔不加任何评论, 因为我以为无论CONSERVATIVE还是LIBERAL都是比较负责任的政党，都有执政的经验. 本人更认同一个简单的道理, 现在经济还不是很强劲,又有赤字,可以适当节省一点花钱, 更应该积极创造就业机会, 因此CONSERVATIVE更符合我的理念. 夫人害怕联邦政府过度紧缩而导致裁员,所以想投LIBERAL的票. 这次大选我们家庭内部分裂了. 我觉得都有道理, 都可以.

但现在形势非常危险, LAYTON极有可能成为少数党领头,进而组成联合政府成为下届总理. 在需要稍似节俭、努力工作的时候选一烧钱的主，无疑是把这个国家往火坑里推。

请问股神，加拿大的巨额赤字是哪个党派搞出来的？如果说烧钱就是把这个国家往火坑里推，那现在加拿大已经在火坑里了！

It is originated from Trudeau's government.

When I immigrated to Canada in 1981, the economy was very bad. the interest rate was 18% (I like it since every $1000 I put in the bank, I got $180 interest). But then, many people lost their houses because of bad economy and high interest rate.

PC's Brian Mulroney was voted to win as a result. But then, there was a huge debt from Trudeau's government (lots of $$$$ spent on welfare services). So, PC introduced GST and no one liked it. But then they had to reduce the debts.

After PC, Jean Chrétien from Liberals took over and it seems that they were doing ok under Jean Chrétien's mandate (at least he was experienced enough not to follow Trudeaus' mistake). I did vote for Liberals at that time.
