Talk about fishing. I have never been much into fishing, being an impatient type. Last Saturday we followed a church group to go fishing at a Rideau river lock called Edmonds Lock near Smith Falls.
We watched 4 young lads, looks like Cambodians, came and fish for a bit more than an hour. They caught 5-6 big ones, mostly small mouth bass. Got us all excited. But all we could do was catching some sunfish and small perch.
If you go there, go across the lock gate and onto a path on the left to a clearing. If you fish downstream of the dam, you can catch some big ones. If you fish upstream, you will be catching mostly sunfish and perch. It is also a very nice location for a picnic.
