唉。。。因为就此了结。。。星期五晚的事情。。。昨天才接到那个driver的电话，要去report incident to the policy....the driver was told by her garage it costs 1500 to fix, but the police said it only could also only cost 400...

report就report吧，谁知report完，那个警察给了我traffic ticket...saying 'turn...not safe' ....

今天到110 consternation， 以为跟人说说就可以减半。。。却被告知不服的话要排队出庭。。。天，我这辈子算是头一次出庭了

我当然不服，我还没turn, my front tires barely moved out of the white line...the other driver make a very sharp turn...that was how my car touched her car...

扣点儿吗？ 扣的话就出庭吧。 最终目标是把点儿给消了。 至于修车的费用多少， 那道不用担心， 一般insurance co. 都有自己的preferred bodyshop等estimate 出来了， 就和自己的insurance 说你自己来付就可以了。

如果她上报了，就不能私了；现在你只能公事公办（就是不理她了）。
（如果同意私了，就要按村长的意思写书面协议，也就不能后来再报保险或警察）

traffic ticket不意味着记点。楼主好像没有说记点。traffic ticket可能罚款。

保险公司无权指定客户去哪里修车。

只要保险公司知道了，你付钱，明年也涨保险。

但是如果初次事故，一般都有forgiveness

1500刀是对方保险公司赔偿对方，和楼主没有关系，而对方保险公司赔偿对方，因为不是对方的错，对方没有500刀deductable。

报告警察也无所谓。关键是当时请对方不要报保险。警察不会通知保险公司，除非是speeding ticket.

楼上诸位，需要理解什么是 no fault insurance.

我忽视了LZ车没修，只是对方车要修
你是对的，LZ不需要付钱。 只有自己车也要修，又是自己错，才要付那个Deductable
