If you like to visit other remote locations within Canada, try to camp in the wild field first. Survival is the first thing if you want to experience Canada North. You never know what will happen there. You need to get the basic to survive with limit support.

坐飞机到阿拉斯加faribanks，差不多65度，还可以继续往北，有市镇。比较安全可靠。适合家庭。

Tuktoyaktuk is almost 70N. Virtually, Inuvik, with about 5 or 6 k people, is near 68N. There are several quite good hotels.

Tuk or Inuvik should be be the northest town you can reach by road. Then you may hire a plane flying to the shore of the Arctica

萨省，Alberta 省中部的几个大城市就都可以看到。不必非跑去北极。
当然了，北极的极光可能更壮观些。 我当年在自己家阳台见到的可能没有北极的壮观，也还不错。

the best time to see should be 2013

the auroral activity is cyclic, peaking roughly every 11 years. The next peak period is 2013.
I am waiting till then to go north in Feb-March.
