Once you deal with good Chinese contractors for long, they show much more care.

我前面的问题, 主要是想知道, 那位水管工一开始没找到原因是很正常还是经验不足造成的. 所以我才会问你有没有跟她提过马桶的问题.

关于谈价钱的事情, 我觉得180 两个小时合情合理. 而且很多看官也谈到路费的问题了. 钱上面您就难得糊涂一下 把.

其实没啥好吵的,LZ同样的情况我们家也发生过,找了个别人推荐的老外,80一个小时,来了5分钟就发现了问题还修复问题.80块出去了,就5分钟,可东西修好了,这钱他赚的我没话讲.

Yes and no. First, call LZ the cheap ass as much as you want.
But as a customer, he/she has 100% right to be picky and to complain if he/she didn't get the quality service as he/she expected.
Business is business, not CHARITY. Doesn't matter it's your compatriot or local guys.
Guess LZ should learn a lesson from this incident, quality service doesn't come cheap. No matter whom this service came from.

The real case is, generally, the Chinese contractor in Ottawa society are not able to do qualified job.

I don't know how many Chinese contractors you've used but I would like to record this. Just remember you're in Canada, you'd better learn how to make proper statement, esp. when it is race related.

But as a customer, he/she has 100% right to be picky and to complain if he/she didn't get the quality service as he/she expected.
Business is business, not CHARITY. Doesn't matter it's your compatriot or local guys.
Guess LZ should learn a lesson from this incident, quality service doesn't come cheap. No matter whom this service came from.

If LZ pays up, you are 1000% correct.

However, he refused to pay and the worker accepted.

Yet, he came here to ruin the worker's reputation.

这位师傅的专业水平值得怀疑。一楼的Ceiling发现漏水，最基本的反应和逻辑是120%确认二楼的水管和马桶没问题，才能扒开一楼的Ceiling。来了就直接在Ceiling上开两个洞？ 倒找钱我也不会找这样的水暖工。

我也有个类似的经历，天花板漏水了，邻居建议先从地漏开始检修，我们不太会，请了一个师傅，经过浇水试验，证明是下水漏，他说唯一的办法是打开天花板，才可能找到漏的地方，$250,其实后来才知道，这只包括开洞，不包括补洞，少说要$500.我们采取邻居的建议先试着修地漏，另一个师傅给我们电话指导，可是我们只是打开了地漏，还是没有搞好。于是请师傅来修，花了100，修好了，保修半年。

所以这事楼主有部分责任，如果你找个Second建议，也许就不用大动干戈了，既然打开了，症结不在那里，也该付钱，因为你采取了他的建议。

还有一次，刚搬进来不久，一次洗衣机不转了，打电话请洋人来修，结果什么毛病都没有，是我只转了旋钮，没有按下去，那人家也毫不客气地收最低费用80。谁让自己不会判断，请神来了呢。

Guys with real skills has proud, no matter what they do. And they don't sell their skills for cheap!
Again, I never see, or hear about, any good Chinese handy man within Ottawa/kanata area. You must be very, very lucky.

This is another question. You must pay for a contractor's work.
