Ottawa city council committee approves Roosevelt highrise towers

OTTAWA — About a dozen residents voiced opposition to two proposed condominium towers in Westboro, just before council’s planning committee approved a zoning amendment that would allow the project to proceed. The height and form of the development were at the heart of the debate Monday, since the towers would not increase the density allowed on a property at 335 Roosevelt Ave., west of Churchill Avenue North near the Transitway.
