No body-tampering charges in Valerie Leblanc case

Quebec’s director of criminal and penal prosecutions ruled no body tampering charges will be laid in connection with the death of an 18-year-old Gatineau girl who was found dead in a forest behind her school on Aug. 23. Valerie Leblanc died from severe head trauma and her body was also found burned in a forest near CEGEP de l’Outaouais in the Hull sector of Gatineau. She had gone missing on her first day of school in late August. Her body was found by students near a path.
