Police ready to fine motorists who use GPS units improperly

The grace period is over and Ottawa police say they will now start ticketing drivers who use GPS units while driving. The popular global positioning system units are classified as electronic devices, just like cellphones, said Const. Henri Lanctôt, a media relations officer with the Ottawa police.
