刚刚收到CARLETON ECONOMICS的一封“offer”，让我去读一年的qualifying.请问有哪位知道这是什么鬼东东。 读完以后会有什么结果？我怀疑这是不是鬼子骗银子的新伎俩？

it's normal for some student they are not sure if his is ready to be admitted to the department. If you pass all the courses in the qualifying year. Your will become a regular student. If you fail one, Bye!!

The explaination for the qualifying year should be found in the letter accompany with your offer. Otherwise, check the Carleton website and look for the definition of the qualifying year.
