Good morning Stonebridge Community members,
The Association, along with several dedicated parents, have been fighting tirelessly to get the proposal amended in order to keep all of our children together in the same school and maintain the Stonebridge community as one.
Donna Blackburn is concerned mostly with Half Moon Bay. She is not concerned with Stonebridge as a whole. It is important for Stonebridge residents to come out and support ALL of Stonebridge, as this is the community that WE have built.
To those living in Stonebridge West, YOU bought and paid good money to live in Stonebridge NOT Half Moon Bay, and unfortunately, if you don't come out and support the community then you will be considered as part of Half Moon Bay as far as the Public School Board is concerned, and this will affect property values.
We wanted to let you know that we have heard from Mark Fisher (Trustee for the East Side) and he says it is EXTREMELY important to have as many people as possible there on Tuesday evening (December 20th). We are to be there at 6:45 p.m. to sign up on the list 'to ask questions/comment'. He doesn't think it's too late to change this decision and he has amended the final proposal for presentation on Tuesday, which addresses 1) concerns about busing JK/SK kids to Parkwood Hills, and 2) Splitting up Stonebridge (see attached).
Date: December 20th
Time: 6:45 p.m.
Location: 133 Greenbank Road.
The Association has done all we can in fighting this, we now need YOU to stand up and show that it is something you think is worth fighting for. Please spread the word to anyone and everyone.
Sincerely,
SCA
