Re: 2012 Youth In Policing Initiative
For the sixth year, the Ottawa Police Service will be running the Youth In Policing Initiative (YIPI) Program. YIPI is an eight week summer employment program for youth 14-17 years of age (on July 3rd, 2012) attending a secondary school program (2011-2012) and returning to a secondary school program (2012-2013). This unique opportunity will provide the youth with valuable work-experience and training in a police and community work environment. The youth can also earn credits towards their high school diploma.
Information on the YIPI Program and application process can be found at: http://www.ottawapolice.ca/en/community/teenlounge/yipi.aspx
