iphone at ottawa airport

i just bought one and will bring back china as a gift, im wondering if i can keep the package unopened and bring it with me on the plane, will security at the airport ask me to open the package and turn on the iphone???

Anybody knows? Thanks!

in Ottawa airport, nobody care what you bring as long as they are legal stuff,
but what you need to worry about is in beijing airport, they probably charge you duty&tax.

这安检问题不大，就随身带着，大不了让你开封看看，托运怕丢了，到北京，你要是就带一，两部，也不用心虚，直接通关就行。即使加税也加不到那去。或者你开封就说是自用的。

Should not have problem. Even if, you could still go to Apple store in China.
