Twitter user posing as Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson

OTTAWA — The city is pursuing a Twitter user posing as Mayor Jim Watson to send cruel messages, Councillor Maria McRae announced at the end of a Tuesday meeting of council’s environment committee. McRae has been a particular target of the person using the@JimWatsonOttawa, but it’s not obvious unless a Twitter user specifically visits the account owner’s Twitter page. The tweets began first thing Tuesday morning.
