新房让builder装pot light还是close以后找人装?

builder要350一个, 太贵了. 如果close以后找人装会不会很麻烦. 老外论坛上说留一个开关和一个灯头对以后的安装会方便一点.

另外,准备close以后自己装under cabinet lights, 预想用LED Strip, 带插座, 直接插到电源上. 问题是要builder装一个用开关控制的插座要500块. 也有点贵. close以后找电工有可能做吗? 会不会很费事?

不是electic wiring, 就是装一个可以用开关控制的插座要500. living room或者family room里面有的那种控制台灯的开关加插座.

pot light就builder做。

别嫌贵。builder很精的，都是这个update贵那个update就便宜点。

比如我的bulder家pot light是$180一个。。但是其他升级就暴贵。

i know a minto home buyer, he met the electrician who wired his house when under construction. after closing, he let that guy did his pot lights, he added more than 20 pot lights for only about $7~800.

it seems hard for us, but for people who doing that as a living skill, that's nothing.

Your friend is very lucky!

As for my house case, it's not that easy to add the pot lights at your expecting spot later on. But for sure, much cheaper to put the pot lights on after closing ( at lease half price )

I will suggest that let builder put the pot lights on the second floor,
because the pot light need special insulation.
