SIN #, please help!

once I receive the green/mapleleaf card, is it necessary to change the SIN from 9xx,xxx,xxx to ?xx,xxx,xxx ?? what are the pros and/or cons?? please help!!

数字9开始的SIN都是给外国人的。没有什么利弊可言，移民后，你必须更换。http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sc/sin/

未必需要等枫叶卡，可能有landing paper就可以申请新的SIN。看看上面那个网站。

如果以前报过税，拿到新的SIN后，通知CRA更正。

First off, Maple Leaf card is not green.

You will have to change your SIN from 9xx to xxx. The 9xx's are temporary for non-resident only.

9打头的是临时的。

用新SIN报一次税就纠正过来了。如有好多学费transfer就要注明要税务局combine新号码SIN和原来的9字头SIN。
