2012 Ottawa Gatineau Auto Show Revved up and ready to go March 22-25, 2012
It’s that time of year again when the Cities of Ottawa and Gatineau and the Ottawa New Car Dealers Association start to rev up their engines for the return of the spring Auto Show. This year’s show runs at the March 22-25, 2012 at the new Ottawa Convention Centre.
The main attraction this year will be the return of the show to a brand new venue as well as the return of many of the automotive industry manufacturers that were missing from previous shows due to height and size restrictions of the old Ottawa Convention Centre.
The big difference will be the return of the imports including as many as 20 major manufactures with over 100 vehicles. All the new 2012 vehicles should be in attendance including concept cars, energy efficient models, cross-over, trucks and 4x4’s and more.
For the car enthusiasts the 2012 show will be a return of one of the rights of spring for the first Ottawa Gatineau Auto Show which has been missing for the past four years due to contraction of the new Convention Centre.
“ The show returns with great support “ says Show Promoter, Peter Ginsberg “ It looks like we have support from a large number of manufacturers, many who will be bringing first look vehicles to Ottawa and many who have not exhibited at the show for quite some time, so it’s going to be a great show” Says Mr. Ginsberg.
Specialized promotions are currently being developed but at the present time it looks like everyone in attendance will receive $500 in car-cash from the Ottawa New Car Dealers Association that can be used towards the purchase of new and used car. Kensel Tracy Promotions Manager says “ we are working on a number of great promotions and hope to have our details for the 2012 show ready for promotion in late January’.
Based on the response to date from Ottawa’s automotive community and the Auto Manufacturers across Canada the 2012 show is shaping up to be one of the bigger shows in Ottawa’s automotive history.
