Council gives overwhelming support to Lansdowne redevelopment

In an overwhelming — and expected — show of support, city council voted Wednesday to move ahead with the Lansdowne Park redevelopment. The count was 21-1, with only Capital Councillor David Chernushenko dissenting. (Somerset Councillor Diane Holmes, who has opposed the redevelopment plans, was absent for the vote.)
