OTTAWA — Doubling the length of the O-Train line to reach rapidly-growing areas of Leitrim and Riverside South would cost about $76 million and bring many new transit users on board, city staff say. An eight-kilometre extension could stretch from the O-Train’s southern terminus at Greenboro Station to a new station on Bowesville Road in Riverside South, with stations at South Keys and Leitrim in between, says a report to go to the city’s transit commission on Wednesday.
