If you can get good LPs, and can get many (> 30), it's worthy. Like me, I only have <10 LPs, it's not worth to buy a turntable.
When I said buying a turntable, I'm not talking about those shitty ones sold in The Source. A good used one will be $100 or more. A new one will be much more.
Thanks. I have 0 LPs but I guess it's a bit of chicken and egg dilemma. Bottom line is, does it make a difference ?
Saw a Rega planar at one audio dealer used sometime ago for about $500 and I think you can buy something decent with that price on used market.
I personally won't put $500 on this old school stuff. Maintenance is a big hole. I know very few people use turntable nowadays. They usually have hundreds of LPs. Most people will buy high-end CD players or DACs.
However, you may want to become one of those few people and will buy hundreds of LPs. Who knows.
