Domtar ‘actively looking’ for buyer for Ottawa-Gatineau properties

OTTAWA — Domtar, the Montreal-based paper manufacturing giant, says it is willing to sell its 38-acre island and waterfront property in Ottawa-Gatineau, but it can’t do so without a willing buyer. “With regard to our ongoing efforts to sell our legacy properties in Ottawa/Gatineau, we have said all along that we recognize the site’s importance at the heart of the National Capital Region and we continue to actively look for a willing buyer or buyers with this firmly in mind,” Domtar corporate communications manager Stuart Lister said in an email.
