刮了对方的保险杠，对方要私了

在停车场倒车的时候，不小心刮到了后面的车。右后保险杠有一条大约10厘米的刮痕。今天车主来电告知估价650$,要350$私了.
我开车几年了没有任何事故,仅仅最近由于身体疲劳,没有看好.请问如果通过保险公司,(我觉得每年交那么多的保险还有自己掏腰包很冤), 我的保费明年会长多少?会连续长几年呢?

如果你是第一次报，很多保险公司不涨，但为这么一点小事破了金刚不坏之身不值得。另外还要看你的保险有deductible没有

Over 10 % of the cars on the road don't have insurance.
Especially those who pay monthly. Once they have paid the first month and have the car, they stop paying!
In any accidents, both parties must first exchange insurance policy number. And Ontario is NO FAULT policy. The other party first has the car fixed, paid by his/her insurance company. If it is your fault, his/her insurance company will ask your insurance for money.
If LZ doubts whether the other party has insurance or not, tell the other party claim your insurance company, if the party doesn't have insurance, that means cannot have the car fixed, and will not charge to your insurance company.
Actually, the sensor at the car of a car is quite a good device.

If it's your fault, try to settle privately as much as possible, especially the damage is only $350. The duductible is likely similar to that, if not more.

Don't speculate about the other car/driver, it does not help you. Pay the $350 and get it over with. After paying, be sure to ask the other party to write/sign a note saying this inccident has been fully settled privately by the payment.
