大家可以算一算，一般家庭在汽车上的开销
好象看过一个报导，一部汽车一个月平均的非保险COVER的个人维护费用是202元。保险COVER的大概是178元。在保险COVER的费用中，除去BROKE的，费用大概有70%-80%的保费转为修理费用。那么平均每人每车没月有300多将在汽车维护和修理中。

而平均加拿大HOUSE MORTGAGE的利息等开销是每月950元。

可见汽车维护和修理的市场大概是房屋市场的1/3。

出来后可以自己开业吗

You guys give me strong confidence. My Englsih is not bad,adn I like automobiles, but someone told me garages usually hire canadians or their own people, for example mid-east bosses hire mid-east mechanics.
is that true?

I DON‘T THINK SO。

THIS IS NOT SOCIALIST COUNTRY。 IF I AM A GARAGE BOSS， I WILL HIRE TECHNICIAN WHO IS HARDWORKING， HONEST AND GOOD SKILL。 I DON’T CARE WHERE HE IS FROM， ONLY IF GET MY JOB DONE。

THIS IS ALSO THE REASON WHY CHINESE IT GUYS WITH POOR ENGLISH CAN SURVIVE HERE。

Good luck. With more and more chinese folks around and most of them have cars, we really need some Chinese technicians who are honest and easy to communicate with. I am sure you will have lots of customers.

不知道做几年下来是什么感觉, 钱是有的, 别的也就....

这是靠手艺吃饭的活，无论是学徒入门还是从业当然都会很辛苦，但是好多人都特别喜爱机修，不在意当蓝领、满手油污。
我的一个同事是位快退休了得老Mechanic,业余时间是位快乐的吉它手老渔翁，记得他说他去帮朋友修农场机械:now they are ready to rock&roll的得意神色…羡慕啊！那老家伙带的小徒弟据说要学徒一年，然后还要完成college里的一些远程教学的课程才能拿到入门证书。偶而看到另外一个小Mechanic的简历，年纪轻轻，竟然拿过一堆各种机器的维修培训证书。想必这一行也是需要很多的知识和经验的积累的，当然也就越老越吃香的。好好干！曙光在前头…学出来了，咱们的车就交给你了，嘿嘿。

I do not see why verbal English plays an important role here as a mechanic technician do not need to communicate with customers for long, do they ?

学徒(apprentice)机会还是挺难的，从零开始的人恐怕真要从上学开始。

Is there any program out there that only requires monthes of training(ie. 4 monthes)? And what colleges do you guys suggest? How much the tution fee cost ya, etc... Thanks.
