If you're a Rogers Wireless customer and are looking to get a little more out of your smartphone plan without necessarily breaking the bank for it, they're giving you the opportunity to save on select value plans for a limited time. Until April 3, 2012, you'll be able to save 50% on a wide selection of value plans starting at just $6.40 a month. There are many plans available which include exclusive BlackBerry, iPhone and Android offerings as well but, as always, we'd encourage you to read the terms and services carefully and ask any questions you have to the Rogers representative when applying the value pack to your existing plan. Note: We realize the link doesn't take you to the exact page so you'll need to look on the left hand side and click VALUE PACKS to see the drop down.

There are three sets of plans available each ranging from an extra $6.40 to $10.40 a month. Here's a look at the price breakdown:

$6.40 Value Pack for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, MMS

  • Call Display With Name Display
  • Visual Voicemail (iPhone) or Visual Voicemail Plus (Android, BlackBerry, MMS)
  • First Month Free
$8.40 Value Pack for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, MMS

  • Call Display With Name Display
  • Visual Voicemail (iPhone) or Visual Voicemail Plus (Android, BlackBerry, MMS)
  • 100 US and International Text Messages
  • First Month Free
$10.40 Value Pack for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, MMS

  • Call Display With Name Display
  • Visual Voicemail (iPhone) or Visual Voicemail Plus (Android, BlackBerry, MMS)
  • Unlimited US and International Text Messages
  • First Month Free
The online prices do not reflect the promotional discount so, just in case you were wondering, yes it is 50% off what is shown online. Some forum members have mentioned the discounts will not be applied to older retention plans, grandfathered plans or older value packs. Because we can't confirm that information and everyone's plan is essentially different, it would be a good idea to call in for yourself and see if your plan is eligible if you're at all interested.

The deal expires on April 3, 2012.
