Jurors dismissed as Rwandan elects trial by judge for war crimes

The biggest jury panel in Ottawa’s history disbanded after less than 15 minutes Monday. More than 100 jammed a courtroom for jury selection to begin in the war crimes trial of Rwandan Jacques Mungwarere. It was standing room only — and more than 1,000 citizens in all had been notified to be available.
