Cash tight for Crime Stoppers program

In a case of familiarity breeding neglect, Ottawa’s Crime Stoppers program has found itself running short of money. “People are used to Crime Stoppers just being your neighbourhood organization without realizing how much funding we require to stay in operation,” Crime Stoppers vice-president Wayne Bissett said Monday after informing the Ottawa Police Services Board of the organization’s financial difficulties.
