Finance committee votes to move ahead with Lansdowne development

While the Friends of Lansdowne decide whether to try to take their case to the Supreme Court, city council’s finance committee has voted to push on with the development plans for Lansdowne Park. In a unanimous decision, the committee agreed to tear down the Coliseum, move the historic Horticulture Building and get to work cleaning up the contaminated soil underneath, at an estimated cost of $14 million.
