OTTAWA — The annual number of incidents handled by Ottawa Fire Services has stabilized somewhat over the past couple of years, according to a staff report. Last year, fire crews responded to 26,370 calls, ranging from fires, public hazards and rescues to medical emergencies and false alarms, a number up just slightly from 2010, when 26,156 incidents were called in.
