Polish PM visits Wilno, home of Canada’s first Polish settlement

When the guests gathered to welcome Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to Wilno — a small hamlet west of Ottawa and, more importantly, the site of Canada’s first Polish settlement — they sang the national anthems of their two beloved homelands with the same reverence and conviction, a signal that this place, deep in the Madawaska Valley, is as proudly Polish as it is Canadian.
