Queensway Carleton readies second MRI machine

A $2.4 million, 9,000-pound magnet was carefully lowered into its new home at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Friday. The powerful Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine is the latest addition to the hospital’s Diagnostic Services ward, and will allow the hospital to accommodate 2,100 more scans in the next year, lowering wait times for MRI testing in the region.
