Archeologists working for the city are looking for artifacts from the early days of LeBreton Flats before the area is dug up for the planned light-rail system. The firm Golder Associates is examining an area north of Albert Street and west of Commissioner Street, once home to the West End Hotel and Western Methodist Church, along with some outbuildings, the memo says. They’ll preserve anything they find and send artifacts to a lab for proper study. The work is to last until July.
