Algonquin students in a transit dilemma after cancellation of discount bus passes

OTTAWA — By cancelling discount transit passes for most of Ottawa’s college students just before the end of the school year, the city is making life difficult for the most financially vulnerable ones, says the president of Algonquin College’s student union. It seems to be an effort to push the colleges into adopting the mandatory “U-Passes” that Carleton and University of Ottawa students buy, said Dave Corson, but on a schedule the college students couldn’t possibly meet.
