Holders of an Ontario sportfishing licence are treated the same as holders of a Qu殁ec sportfishing licence for the purposes of sportfishing in Zone 25 and in lakes Clarice, Labyrinthe and Raven (Zone 13) as well as in that part of lake Saint-Fran顼is (Zone 8) west of a line drawn from Beaudette point on the northern shore to Saint-Louis point on the southern shore. The same applies to holders of a New Brunswick sportfishing licence for the purpose of angling in the Patap殇ia (Zone 2) and Ristigouche (Zones 1 and 2) salmon rivers. Fish caught in these waters and kept are considered caught in Qu殁ec and must be included in the daily fishing quota and possession limits."
But we have to make this precision; you can read, in the next paragraphe, the official text of the rule in Qu殁ec:
The problem with this text is that the text say that you neeed a fishing license from Ontario to fish on the Qu殁ec side of the Ottawa River. If you have a sport fishing license from Ontario, you can fish on the Qu殁ec side of the river. If you have an ecological license, you can fish in the same way, but the limits on the fish' s capture can not be enforced on the Qu殁ec side because our regulation dont make the difference between the limits of capture of a sport fishing license and an ecological license. But an Ontario fisherman who return in Ontario with his full limit of fish with his ecological license will be charged for an infraction against the Ontario regulations of fishing.
