OTTAWA — A 95-year-old man was critically injured and taken to hospital without vital signs after he was struck by an SUV at the intersection of Carling and Maitland avenues Monday morning. Ottawa paramedics responded to a call at the intersection just before 11 a.m. and found the man with life-threatening injuries to his head, face, and chest, as well as a broken leg.
