The Teddy Bears' Picnic has become a family tradition unlike any other as kids, parents, and grandparents alike all head down to The Governor General's residence at Rideau Hall for a day of family activities including the always popular B*A*S*H Tent and Build-A-Buddy. There will be a celebrity pancake breakfast running from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pancakes, sausages, juice and coffee are $3 for adults and $2 for children. The B*A*S*H Tent (Bear Ambulatory Surgical Hospital) officially opens at 9 a.m. Children are invited to bring their teddy bears and other stuffed animals for check ups, minor repairs and a visit to the dentist. CHEO Bear will lead the parade of mascots at 9:30 a.m. Admission and most of the activities are free thanks to support from corporate Good Bears like Bell, TD Canada Trust and Canadian Forces Health Services and Rideau Hall. Nominal fees are charged for some games, rides, food and refreshments.
