OTTAWA — Glass rained down from a 23-storey condo tower in downtown Ottawa on Thursday afternoon on the same day the province announced new rules to prevent just such occurrences. Ottawa police believe a pane of glass fell from a balcony of the Mondrian condo at 318 Laurier Ave. at Bank Street just before 4:30 p.m., shattering on to the sidewalk, street and a vehicle.
