Not sure what kind of rechargable you are talking about. If it's AA size used for digital camera, then you propably should pay more attention on charger itself. A fast/high capacity charger is very important for battery performance. I did some research on this and I end up buying this one online:

The kit comes with 4 batteries and a fast charger. I could not find the same charger here in Ottawa.

Yes! I wanna use AA battery in Digital Camera.

Is there any saying that Lith. Battery (like for Canon series) has better performance than AA battery?

I bought Panasonic rechargable battery and charger from Futureshop for my cannon camera. Once charged, the battery can last quite quite long.
