朋友买新车出了点小麻烦

朋友(新手,第一次买车)昨天去提新车,签完所有手续,交了支票 (Certified Cheque),发现里程数很高-600 公里,肯定是作试车用了的. 朋友拒绝接受, 但是 Dealer 不退还支票,答应给 900 块作补偿.



有类似经历的朋友吗? 这种情况该如何处理? 谢谢.

1. 900Km is not acceptable if paying brandnew car price.
2. when buying a new car, there is a few days (maybe 3) period that you can turn down the deal.

单子上写的是不超过200 公里. 现在是 600 公里.

I had the same experience in one of the Dilawri dealer. In the purchase and sale agreement, there is no mileage, but when we got the car is over 600km.

We have to tell the manager give us a different car or will report to OMVIC for investigation. At the end, we received a new set of snow tires and a lot of free stuff since there is no other car available. Just a reminder note, the transmission broke very soon (about 8 months) and they have to replace.

Thanks for the info. What does OMVIC mean? How to report to OMVIC for investigation. This is a good way to enforce dealer to take my friend's appeal seriously.

Make sure the mileage on purchase and sales agreement is not present. If the purchase and sales agreement printed 600km on it, then you can't do anything.

OMVIC - Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (http://www.omvic.on.ca/)
This council regulates all dealers in Ontario.

In the Act, it says: dealer must put mileage for all vehicle for sale, at the best of their knowledge.

You don't report first, but try to let the dealer know you will report to OMVIC if issue is not resolved.

这个事是有一点不太愉快，不过如果楼主不是很在意，拿900块了事算了，等车子开了几万公里后，600公里也就算不了什么了。

不过这个车行也不应该这样做。 俺买过的几辆新车，拿车的时候，都没有超过10公里的。。。

Lz might be concern about how that 900km was added to that vehicle. The car could be abused before delivered.
