As a parent, I think we should be very cautious about these private/ montessori schools, as they try to collect money more than 6 months in advance, and things do happen in the middle. And nornally they're not in very good cashflow that is the reason why they want to get the tuition so much in advance.



There is defenitely a big risk here for poor parents putting their $10,000-$20,000 to those schools and after many months to find out the school is closed.

看了一下新闻，感觉有些蹊跷。一个私利学校本应该有良好的现金流，起码不会像一般的business会有坏帐的风险，上面这位说甚至还要提前６个月收学费，按正常逻辑，只要招到足够的学生，支付员工工资和房租，应该没有问题，再怎么也不会欠银行1.9million 况且员工工资房租以及银行利息都是一月一付，为什么学费要提前这么长时间支付，所以问题是所收的钱做什么去了？可能的解释是这钱挪作它用了，可能的途径是投资到更加具有风险性的地方了，大家可以想象。







N多年前，曾听上蒙校的家长说，曾被学校force以自己的信用向银行申请line of credit，贷的款给学校用，不知这其中是如何操作的，会不会与后来蒙校接连出问题（这里大家知道的就有两个了）有联系？



如果我的猜测不错的话，办蒙校可真是圈钱的好办法了。

No, no, they did not use money to do anything else. Just they simply don't have enough students, i.e. cash flow to cover the expenses.



Running a school is not a cheap, a lot of expenses are fixed, like mortgage and salary, less student doesn't mean less expenses.



Collecting tuition 6 months in adanvce is a routine in most private schools, as they simply need the cash to survive.
