Vanessa Taler, 39, is the lead researcher in Ottawa for the biggest study on aging ever done in Canada. And last summer, she had to ask her six-year-old daughter to open a child-proof medicine bottle. Taler was in pain with reactive arthritis. “I had to bring it to her because my hands would not open this bottle. It was too hard to squeeze.”
